Toyota Coaster

The Toyota Coaster is what we run for groups of eighteen to twenty-two: school and college trips, corporate outings, extended family gatherings and wedding parties travelling together into the Kaghan Valley.

Inside, it is a proper coach rather than a stretched van. Reclining seats, overhead storage, air conditioning throughout and enough aisle space to move around. On a five to six hour journey with a large group that comfort is what keeps everyone in good spirits when you arrive.

The one thing to be direct about is the final climb. The road from Kiwai up to Shogran is narrow with tight hairpins, and a 22-seat Coaster is at the practical limit of what that road accepts. Depending on conditions and the specific vehicle, we may recommend that the Coaster stops at Kiwai or Balakot and the group transfers to smaller vehicles for the last stretch. We will tell you this at the booking stage rather than on the day, and we build the transfer into the quote.

For itineraries that stay on the main Kaghan road, towards Balakot, Paras, Kaghan town and Naran in season, the Coaster runs the whole route without complication.

The diesel engine and the driver's experience carry this vehicle. We assign Coaster drivers who have done the Kaghan road repeatedly, because a large bus on a mountain road is entirely about judgement.

Siri Paye is always local jeeps for a group this size, typically four or five, arranged as part of the package.

Large-group trips are quoted as a complete package covering the vehicle, driver, his accommodation, fuel and the jeep transfers, which is far easier to budget against than a day rate. Tell us your numbers and dates and we will build the itinerary around what the road can actually take.
