Suzuki APV
The Suzuki APV is our most-booked family vehicle for Shogran, and the reason is simple: it seats eight with air conditioning and it climbs properly. For an extended family or two families travelling together, it removes the awkward maths of trying to fit everyone into two cars.
The 1500cc engine makes a real difference on the Kaghan road. Where a smaller van labours on the Kiwai climb with a full load, the APV pulls it steadily. That translates into a less stressful arrival and a driver who is not nursing the vehicle for the last half hour.
Inside, the seating is genuinely usable for eight rather than eight in theory. Legroom in the middle row is good, the third row works for children and shorter adults, and there is enough space behind for luggage if you pack sensibly. On a five to six hour drive from Islamabad, that comfort compounds.
Air conditioning is standard across our APVs, which matters on the plains section before you gain altitude. From Balakot upward you will probably turn it off anyway.
Like every two-wheel-drive vehicle in the fleet, the APV does not go to Siri Paye. Groups usually book the APV for the main journey and add a local 4x4 jeep for the meadow morning, and we can arrange both together so you are not negotiating at the jeep stand on the day.
For winter travel, ask us before booking. The APV manages the climb in most conditions but once snow settles a 4x4 is the safer choice. All rates include a driver familiar with the route, and we can quote per day or as a fixed point-to-point price, whichever suits your plan.
